Colleen Ritzau Leth in charge of the UK Friends of Versailles

Publié le 06 octobre 2025

The General Meeting of our Society, held on June 14, 2025, elected Ms. Colleen Ritzau Leth as a Board member, with the mission of developing our Friends group in the United Kingdom.

Colleen, who resides primarily in London, is deeply involved in the museum world: she has already collaborated with institutions such as the British Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among others. Her expertise will be invaluable.

Initial activities have already been organized for our British Friends, including visits to the Marie-Antoinette exhibition currently on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum. More events are planned in the near future.

There are in the United Kingdom many Francophile enthusiasts who find in places such as the Wallace Collection, Waddesdon Manor or the V&A a rich source to nurture their passion for 18th-century French art.

There is no doubt that Colleen will find many Friends eager to gather around the Château de Versailles and, we hope, to support it through sponsorship initiatives.

Our UK Circle, as it has named itself, already has around twenty members.

We thank Colleen for her commitment and wish her the best of luck.
